They have access to layers pellets and water 24/7 and they are free range. When they come in I give them some scrambled egg to get them to start to eat ....then back onto their usual food.

How did you find out it was Botulsim....? Do you know where it came from.... And how did you treat it?? Did they all get it?
Were they like my hens....looking like they were dying...then recovery....then again about a month later?
It’s now 10pm here ....and hen is looking much brighter. She is eating and drinking.She now has her legs underneath her...and feet are uncurled. This is exactly the same that happened with the other hen....who is back outside running around again.

We live in Ireland...and have been feeding layers pellets and separate oyster shell. Also rolled oats as a treat when they get called in at night.
Will check her crop in the morning to see if it’s emptied.

Before letting mine free range I make sure that they know that when I call them they will get treats...I use oats. I call them several times a day and treat. I only let them out freeranging if I know they will all come immediately when I call them.
Yes..they fly over their fence, but it's not...
