Thank you all for the advice!! I was able to found a vet in my area that sees chickens. They cleaned the wound and gave her sutures. She is going to be okay!!
She’s going to be isolated indoors until she heals more. I really appreciate the advice on these forums ❤️🐥
My hen was just attacked by a hawk. She has a large gash in her back. I’ve sprayed the area with vetericyn plus. What else can I do? Any more advice on cleaning the wound?
This is my first time dealing with an attack. Thank you!!
Thank you SO MUCH for the advice. I will give her a B supplement (rooster booster B12) and treat the bumblefoot topically for now. If she improves I’ll do a full bumblefoot procedure to remove it
Thank you for the response. She has been having poop on the runny/ watery side. She’s in a small flock of 5, no bullying. She’s actually one of the top hens. I do have grit and crushed eggshells available
I believe I am also dealing with a neurological disease (maybe caused by vitamin deficiency) but less severe.
Here are some pages from the chicken health handbook I’m reading over.

Hi, please comment if you have an idea of what could be wrong!
Just this morning I noticed my hen struggling to walk. She is falling over and loosing her balance. I examined her feet which both look healthy and she didn’t seem to have any foot or leg pain as I touched her.

Hello! Please offer your insight on the sex of these birds.
They are 7 weeks old and were hatched out from “barnyard mix” hatching eggs from a farm. We do not know the breed or which breeds they have at the farm. I have numbered them 1,2 and 3 in the photos.
If you have guesses on breed...
I live in a very wet area and add wood pellets to my run around the edges. They absorb all the water that puddles there and my hens love to scratch through it.
Hi thank you so much for commenting!! This morning her energy level has improved but her crop was not empty. I plan to massage her crop several times today and feed her soft food and some olive oil. Thank you for the input!
