So every day but 2 Weeza has produced an egg. Today is no different. There are 23 - 1 more than yesterday. She has no interest in her nest during the day. It's obvious she tends it at night and sits on it when she's locked up. Is there a point where I give up on her committing to sit an hatch...
The eggs are so cold. It's hard to imagine that she'll get them warmed up an that will be the catalyst for them to develop. (That is how it works, right?). :)
This morning she ran out when I opened the door. Looked like she had at least messed with nest but didn't lay number 18 today. Few minutes ago she was voluntarily in the cage (door open) sitting on her nest. :)

Weeza's 17 eggs. When do I know that she won't sit? Will the eggs go bad? If she does sit and hatch these eggs out, will Joe (drake) hurt ducklings?
Thanks!!

The ducks do have a 15'L x 6'W x 5'H safe enclosure. Now I will need to figure out how to make a special spot for her nest to be relocated to where she will feel comfortable
I have a male and a female. Up until about a month ago, they were locked up at night and then they accidentally were left out and slept by the house in a flower bed off my back porch. They seemed so much happier out at night and come up on the back porch an wait at the door for us in the...
