    Guessing chick mixes!

My broody hatched three little adopted babies last weekend. Here is what I know. Two of them hatched from cream legbar eggs. Dad is either a black australorp, white wyandotte, or RIR. The third came out of a light brown egg that was either from a white wyandotte or a RIR. Baby daddy options...

    Black Copper Maran, yes?

Definitely BCM, for the record. She lays a nice brown egg perhaps every other day.

Obviously NOT a cream legbar, but what then?

Update! It’s a blue egg! She’s a chicken mystery. We love her.

Rosie’s glow up. Age 5.5 months. No egg yet but I’m expecting one any day.

    Black Copper Maran, yes?

This is Sally, 11.5 weeks. When she was tiny we were told she was a black australorp. I don’t think so. I started getting suspicious when she sprouted feathers on her legs. After searching here I think BCM is more likely, or maybe some kind of BCM mix. Opinions appreciated.

Minnesota Cities Chicken Ordinances and Rules

With a permit, Rochester allows 3 hens, no roosters. Can apply for a different permit to have up to 12 hens you’re using them for education in some way. Rochester Township, however, has no limits whatsoever. 😉

Obviously NOT a cream legbar, but what then?

Sorry this picture is awful but it’s late at night and I can get more tomorrow. You can see her legs, which are yellow and without feathers.

Obviously NOT a cream legbar, but what then?

This is Rosie, age 7/8 weeks. We were told she was a cream legbar but the lack of a crest pretty much puts that idea to rest. Any ideas what breed she is, or possible mixes? She is incredibly calm and sweet tempered, loves to ride around in the open hood of my child’s coat. Good flyer. Smaller...
