Not sure exactly where to post this, but does anyone know when or if TSC in Bangor Maine or TSC in Skowhegan Maine is having a chicken swap in 2014?
Thanks
I have 2 of them that are 1 years old. Not sure if you're looking for chicks or not, I'm 35 miles from Waterville. Organic fed, and free ranged. $30 takes them.
I wouldn't eat the birds or the eggs if my lawn was sprayed. What are they spraying for anyway? The chickens will take care of the bugs AND fertilize it for him.
Does anyone have any plans or pics of chicken crates? I'm thinking about building 2 that will fit in my truck for when I bring the meaties to get processed.
Awesome video Beekissed, I'm thinking of buying electric netting for my next batch of FR's, did I hear correctly that they just go through your fence even when its on?
Just finished reading Harvey Ussery's book and I'm going to follow his ideas. No medicated feed. The chicks will need a higher protein feed than the adults as they are trying to grow , and the adults need layer feed for the eggs.
Thought I'd bump this thread from the past. It's getting to be planting time and was wondering if anyone is going to plant stuff for their chickens, and if anyone has had good or bad experiences in the past with some of the post above..
You don't sell many books, or get invited many places to speak if what you're writing or saying doesn't work. It obviously works for him. If you don't like it, or it doesn't work for you, thats different.
