I just did a similar thing but my incubation setup was not good enough for them to hatch out. Out of ten eggs 6 started to develope, one getting quite far along before quitting. Im going to build a better incubator and retry this spring when I get my chickens.

Maybe you could give them feather to eat with their food to stop them from eating other quails feathers?

Sorry for the bad wording, I meant I’m incubating some quail eggs but it doesn’t look like there is going to be a good hatch rate if they hatch at all.
