Worried that both of my two new chicks that were supposed to be pullets are roos. The combs look big to me but I do not have any other RIR's to compare them to. Hoping for good news since we cant keep roosters but wondering when I will know the truth for sure. They are currently 4 weeks.
So last week I was worried that one of these two might be a roo (the one with the lighter head). This week we are starting to think we either have two Roos or two pullets. Their combs look to be about the same size now. They were supposed to be sexed pulletd.
I planned to introduce them using the playpen method when they are around 6 weeks old. I am just not sure that will work the same way with only one chick if the other ends up being a roo
