Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Worried that both of my two new chicks that were supposed to be pullets are roos. The combs look big to me but I do not have any other RIR's to compare them to. Hoping for good news since we cant keep roosters but wondering when I will know the truth for sure. They are currently 4 weeks.

So last week I was worried that one of these two might be a roo (the one with the lighter head). This week we are starting to think we either have two Roos or two pullets. Their combs look to be about the same size now. They were supposed to be sexed pulletd.

3 week old RIR (I think). Please tell me NOT a roo

I planned to introduce them using the playpen method when they are around 6 weeks old. I am just not sure that will work the same way with only one chick if the other ends up being a roo

Thank you. we have four other chickens but they are older. Will they accept one chick? We do have room to add on more than two, so not sure what to do it this one turns out to be a boy

3 week old RIR (I think). Please tell me NOT a roo

We got these two cuties two weeks ago at Tractor supply. All of the chicks they had were on the bigger side for baby chicks so I think they were about a week old at the time. They are growing and feathering quickly. We are fairly certain the first chick, Millie, is a she (has a black stripe on...
