So I got these from the feed store in the rainbow pullet pen. They look like splash to me, they have bright florescent blue ears. They are a smaller chicken but not a bantam. They lay very pale brown/cream colored eggs- but not white. They can FLY like nobody's business. Very friendly.
I posted pics on facebook and the consensus is roos. I had three but one got taken by a hawk. Would be just my luck if that one was the only female:( What do you all think?
Here's my girl today. She's so cute...
And here is her sister (same batch of chicks lol.) She is much slower to feather. Think she's a pullet too? Also not sure on breed, they both look exactly alike.
Oh thank God. Thanks everyone! I am hoping and praying it's a lavender orpington. I have two of them that are identical. The other one is slower to feather, and under her feathers she is all yellow, which makes me think lavender orp.
My chick is 5 weeks old, I have no idea what kind it is. Got it from the rainbow pullet bin (Meyer hatchery) at my local feed store. It loves to climb on me, let me pet it, and flies to the highest point it can get to. In my past experience, this is typical of ALL of my past roosters. Any...
So these were in the "rainbow pullet pack" bin. I have no idea what they are. But they are HUGE. Twice the size as the other chicks the same age. I hope they aren't both roosters.
I got them from my local feed store- I grabbed them because I love lavender and blue chickens- they were from the rainbow pullet pack bin:) I got two light brahmas, and one EE. The other two I just took a chance on because they are so cute:)
