I know, easy question but - what is the max time for chicks to be kept in bator??

It's probably time to move them into the brooder and start giving them their feed and water. I haven't hatched chicks before bit I think they survive off the yolk for 48 hours then need food and water supplies. Don't just take my word for it, but I would move them to a brooder with chick crumb...

Reduction in egg quantities. Was getting 4 all winter now only 2. Is it normal? First time chicken owner here.

I read in multiple placesyou are meant to worm every 6 months or so. The wormerbwe will use is marriages in feed worker and has no egg withdrawal period:)

Thank you. That given me some peace of mind. I will still do the worming and deep clean next week anyway.:)

Thanks,Could well be, but it's been like this all winter. They are under shade, so it probably not the normal amount. I think I will do a complete deep clean of the coop at the weekend, do the working and make sure they are free of lice and mites and see if anything happens.

Forgot to mention that they are all acting like normal and are eating and drinking like normal as well. We also give the apple cider vinegar in their water about 1 a week.

Hello everyone, Being relatively new to chickens, this is my first winter with them. I am in the south of England, and have 3 light Sussex and 1 cou cou maran. They started laying early/mid December. We have been getting one egg every day from each, but as of the last few days, we have been...

Hi, this is the website I used when i got my chickens a few months ago. not all the things on the list are essential, some of them dont need to be that specific brand. For example, Verm-x could be substituted for a different type of wormer. https://youshouldgrow.com/first-aid-chickens/

It an option I have been considering, but I think it will be hard to convince them as we are already getting lots of eggs. My mum was against chickens all together, but my dad was and still is keen. It might be more likely getting permision for something rare/endangered like hookbills or other...

Odd feathering on Chickens - very worried

Hi, thanks for the reply. I was worried about the feathers at the upper leg area, some seem to be sticking out. Being a first time chicken owner, and having only had them a few months, there are some things that sometimes worry me despite my research. Thank you. Your response has greatly...

Odd feathering on Chickens - very worried

Hello, I am a relatively new, young chicken owner. Today I noticed that some of my chickens, 3 out of 4, seem to have some odd feathering. They are all behaving as normal, but it seems like they are about to moult, even though I dont think it is mouting season. They are roughly 32 weeks old. We...
