    Letting mom raise her chicks...

I have a broody hen who just hatched 2 of the 10 eggs she's been sitting on. One died while trying to hatch. The 2 who hatched keep leaving the nesting box so she has to leave the eggs to get them. Idk if theres any hope in the remaining eggs hatching. My previous chicks I fed flock raiser...

    Raising peafowl

I have read and heard many different things in regards to raising peafowl. My question is, when do you all move them outside to an outdoor coop? Mine are 2 months. I want to move the brooder box outside with stall refresh(I think it's called). Our nights are typically about 70deg, occasionally...

That's sad. I hope when we get to that point they come back

    Peafowl enclosure

I just got my first 3 peachicks with the intention of letting them free range. From what I have read it wounds like Ai should let one out at a time until they know where home is for sure. How do I know when that is? What kind of timeline do people tend to do this before hopefully successful...

    Guinea fowl and chickens

Yea thats what my reading has told me and the fact that our previous ones roosted in a tree not their home lol. Granted I don't know what the process was with the previous owner.

    Guinea fowl and chickens

We do. When we bought the place there were 5 guineas and they all roasted in a tree and all got killed(assume anyway) within a few months. I'm attempting to train these guys to come in at night into hopes they live long healthy lives. So it will depend on how that goes as to if I leave the run...

    Guinea fowl and chickens

The guinea side is already divided. I was planning on leaving it open once the guineas are free ranging. If they don't end up sleeping in the coop and pick a tree to roost in the 2 lame ones could stay in that part and be safe. As long as they're also happy. Idk. The guinea run is smaller about...

    Gender ideas?

😭 I am pretty well certain the top left is a rooster, top middle also I wouldn't be surprised. I really want the other middle 2 to be hens. Maybe if I call em hens enough 😅

    Guinea fowl and chickens

They are and some of my chickens are super small compared to the guineas. That's been a bit of a concern for integration.

    Guinea fowl and chickens

The chicken run is about 20ft×20ft. The coop is smaller about 4ft x 15ft roughly.

That has also been on the table as an option.

    Guinea fowl and chickens

I have 14 guinea keets about 2 months old now. I am getting ready to start trying to free range them but I have 2 that I don't think will live if I let them free range. One has something wrong with her legs. At first I thought it was just crooked toes and she would still roost but now it's...

    Gender ideas?

Any idea of genders of my flock. They are now roughly 6 weeks old. I was told breeds but I don't remember. So ideas on that as well lol?
