    You need some type of secure place they can go at night, as they are totally blind at night. My neighbor refurbished an old hay wagon with a ladder and egg boxes that are accessible for eggs

    In cold weather, they must be kept warm, till they get feathers. if you have older chickens, they should introduced as a group of at least 4 best at night

    I have neighbors. They love mulch, and so do my chickens, so I let them out a couple of hours before dark. So far this winter, no complaints?

    I feed my(dozen) chickens in a 3-gallon bowl, they get in there and scratch slinging their feed out, so I mixed in vegetable oil to make it thicker and prevent waste?
