Thanks for all the responses on this. Just found one very large one on my tomatoes and instinctively tossed it to the chickens. Glad I checked to make sure, but I should have before tossing it over. The ladies played keep away before the dominant hen cornered it and the others gave up.
Well, I did a little more research and found that the pill bugs, roly poly's, etc. might not actually be the ones chewing up my garden. Maybe the ladies knew that before I did.

Agreed. I had th same type of waterer when the chicks were small. I screwed a little eye hook in by hand and it actually didn't break the vacuum. Was able to hang it up fine, until I switched over to a larger one as they grew.
