Unfortunately, we had no sense of keeping them locked in their coop and we lost all of them to opossums. That sure changed when we raised our next batch. Thanks for the wonderful welcome too!

No, I am not at all new to chickens. It all began 3 years ago in March when I was interested in eggs and a backyard flock. I purchased 5 production red hens that were egg-cellent layers!
