    My chicken watering solution

I have not tried the ACV. I unhook my 5 gallon tank about once per month and hose it out. I will had maybe one half of a capful of standard , unscented bleach to my 5 gallons of water. No gunk growing here.

okay, I am glad to read that you raised up the waterer to a higher level, as chickens will lift their head up to drink more often that go after that lower placement. My water system is very similar except that my Upper Bucket is outside the coop so I can easily refill it. I am using a big...

2x4's Treated OR Untreated + Paint?

I used untreated cedar beams for the bottom of my chicken tractor since that will be in contact with the soil and lots of moisture. Cedar is supposed to be slow to rot. My other boards are untreated. I've never had a chicken to EAT any of my coop wood. My Great Aunt had a plain wooden...

This is adorable and functional. I love it. Please tell us more about your Wheels ? How did you attach them and do they stay in one place ? Or do they have to be "moved into place" like some wheels that I've seen? I have to change my wheels out to some bigger ones at my tractor just sinks...

    Best materials for roosts?

I am about to change my roost to a 2x4 with the 4-inch section where they will sit at night. i've recently read that they like to sit down at night and completely cover their feet with their feathered bodies for warmth. And the wide perch will let the flock snuggle up tight together for warmth...

    Poultry Predator Identification

I have 5 chickens that are about 7 months old. We've finally decided that one of our ''hens'' isn't a hen after all since we only get 4 eggs every day. LOL The coop problem I have , and need advice on, is what to do with loose fence line at the ground level ? My fencing for the run is on...
