Yeah she can, she has other Peking ducks too that are adults, but she’d keep him in his own brooder for now. Thing is once she takes him I know I won’t get him back cause I only planned to keep him for a few months till he got older and then give him to her but now is so soon and I’m not ready...
Hello, I have a 2 week old baby duckling who is alone unfortunately the other egg didn’t make it so now it’s just him. He’s bonded to me, and in a few days I’m leaving on a trip for 3 days. I have a family member who has a farm and is going to come by and see him every so often, but I’m worried...
Hello
I have 1 Peking duck that hatched a little over 5 days ago and was wondering eventually when it’s a few weeks older I want to add it to my cousins farm which she has a few adult Peking ducks already. Any tips on introducing ducklings to adult ducks?
This gives me hope that he’ll be okay. I’ve been slowly introducing him to the chicks. And soon will be with adult ducks at the farm so hoping he does okay.
Thanks for all your suggestions! Unfortunately I can’t get another one, as when these chicks and the baby duck get a bit older I’ll be giving them my cousin, who has a farm. (She actually gave me the eggs and I incubated them) I will try the mirror trick and stuffy.
Only one of my baby ducks was born, and poor baby cries for me when I’m not around 🥺 any tips. I’m trying to slowly introduce them to my 2 week old chicks and eventually have them ask in the same brooder together. but it’s slow progress
Yeah it stays in the same place, no rolling around or movement. I also have to go to work tomorrow till about 4pm and I’m worried to leave the new duckling in the incubator and the one that hasn’t hatched with out making the air hole and not being there to supervise
