Hey all, we had gotten some Polish Crested and then gotten some Silkies a little while back, we weren't sure if we had hens or roosters but now pretty sure we have one of each in the Polish, my question is will the roo polish try to breed the silkies and should i separate him, or will he only...
We have 2 Polish Crested and the all white one is the tame one, the wife just noticed that today,,,, she loves that this one will cuddle,,,, lol,,
Then we have 4 Silkies, boy are they ugly chicks that only a mother could love, or in our case, we could love,, ;)

Thanks for the input,, I do hove food and water in both areas inside and out just to make sure they have the opertunity for it anywhere, as for the lights, I don't plan on having them on all the time, just some times when we are out back sitting or just hanging out with friends & family, my main...
Not sure if this is the right place for this,
I have been pondering the thought of lighting the chicken run, good-bad-stupid, we had built a rustic looking coop and just the other day we rebuild a run, we had thought about painting the run sand color to at least match the house, put some flower...
Here is some pictures i just took of our Polish Crested, these two remind me of a roadrunner,,,
And friday i am going to pick up 4 Silkies for our grandchildren, they wanted ducks, but i talked them out of that, we have 2 Pekin and although they are great ducks, boy are they messy & dirty. .
Here is a better picture of them, yes they are Polish, and the one is turning a brown color, just to cute,, now we want to find a couple Silkies,, lol,,
Yes they are, think they had to much fun,,, they even started to chase the ducks but then the ducks started chasing them back, so before it got out of control i brought them back in,, think their attitude is bigger then their size,, lol,, they are 3 weeks today and too cute ;)
It is such a beautiful day here in Pa I figured i would introduce the chicks to our ducks, this way i could clean the brooder, was starting to smell like a farm in here, lol,,
This way when its nice out they can all get use to each other a little at a time.
