    Does anybody know of any black australorp breeders in ohio? Would like to stay within a couple of hours of nw ohio/se michigan but would possibly travel farther if need be. Looking for some chicks that my son can use for 4h in August. Thanks for any info in advance.

    I don't have any roosters so it's not caused from that. I am leaning towards mites. I notice some of my other hens starting to get thin feathers in the same area. Also I gave the bald hen a coating of blu-cote, and the next day I noticed her beak and comb were a all blue, leading me to believe...

    mites or molting?

    Anybody have any suggestions as to this? I don't have any roosters and haven't seen any of my other girls getting after her. I am thinking mites but other hens seem fine? Somebody also suggested protein deficiency?

    Any thoughts or ideas on this girl? I am thinking mites or lice? The rest of the flock seems fine though. The other chickens aren't going after her. Is it just molting or something that needs treated?

    I also had some issues with Meyers birds! Ordered 17SLW's and 15 died within 48 hrs. Then they wanted to give a store credit instead of replacing chickens. After some convincing the agreed to reship my entire order. This order should be here Friday or Saturday, hopefully in better health!!

    I will be selling to mostly coworkers and close family also. Had to replace my flock this year, so that was a bigger cost as well! I have 25 slw's so should get some decent egg production I hope! But I am with you not looking to get rich just offset some cost and support my hobby! ( or addiction...

    Hey all! From bowling green here! Just curious what people are charging for eggs now? I was charging 1.50$\ dz last year thinking of bumping it up to 2$. Some people say too much and others say right amount? Just trying to get some more opinions.
