All of my wyandotte lay alot smaller eggs than my orpingtons. The wyandotte eggs are usually about 1.2 oz to 1.7 oz. The orpington eggs are usually 1.8 oz to 2.2 oz.
Out of all of my chickens the Marans seem to not like change . It seems that everytime I do something they stop laying. They seem to get stressed easily. It could just be mine are like that. But they do make pretty good mothers. One of mine just hatched some babies in November.

Right now its getting about 30 degrees at night. Weather in West Virginia have been so random these past few years. One year you can wear shorts on Thanksgiving and the next its so cold you don't want to go outside. She is sitting on 9 eggs .
