    Run area bare...?

    Bare dirt in runs is totally normal. I have mulch from a free chip drop that I put in my run, the chickens are constantly turning, digging, foraging through it for bugs that may have wandered in.. They don't seem to ever tire of digging in it so it works well for my flock... They aren't getting...

    1st looks like a salmon Faverolle to me, my sisters chicks were yellow like yours and looked pretty similar at this age. The second I agree with the above, an easter egger, the third looks like my blue australorps, hard to tell but are the feet and legs a dark greenish color? If not maybe a blue...

    That's pretty much how I feel about it too! The additional pictures they sent were actually worse. I edited the side photo trying to get more detail out of it.. feathers look rounded but rather long tail feathers in there

    Considering adopting this pretty polish but torn on if it's a hen or roo.. current owner isn't sure, thinks hen but doesn't know. He/She is 4 months old..

    As a fellow CH native with a smaller than 10k I was wondering if you have dropped the fight or if this still continues? Were you able to find a way to keep your chickens with the loop-holes available?
