    I guess I could leave the top uncovered….. but I’ve been hoping to keep their feet as clean as possible. In addition I have exterior access to the poop box and can scoop it without chickens escaping right now.

    Going through some old pictures today. My 2 yearold with her first chickens. Our black sex-link "Sky" was super gentle and easy to carry. 2020 we setup a much bigger coop and got a bigger flock. Hens checking out the new chicks.

    All 6 of my Dominate Cooper pullets have a green sheen to their feathers. A couple have a white wing feather too. And a few random foot feathers.

    Hi

    Jenna (7 years-old) is raising 11 baby chicks (5 Blue Sapphire Plymouth Rock and 6 Dominant Copper). This is our 2rd venture into chicken raising, our first at our new house in Hood River. I'm building their coop and right now all 11 chicks are living in a box in our laundry room.
