I was not intentional to possibly mix the two. I just collected what I thought were my bantam or silkie eggs. I just find it weird they have stripes. The bantam hens are silkies and maybe barred rock or similar appearance.
I hatched 20 eggs. 7 look like keets with racing stripes, but not bright orange feet, and hatched at 21 days. Roosters were black silkie, ameracauna, and 4 guineas share the coop. What do you think?
I think my 20 eggs that hatched... 7 are keets or mixed keets. They hatched the same time as chickens (day 1). Can you look at the picture and tell me your thoughts?
I add water day and night. If you turn knob to left it lowers humidity; right increases humidity. I wrote in sharpie on top so I won’t forget and teenagers and fix while I’m at work.
I really like this incubator. Minimal work. Monitor temp, humidity and add water daily. Day 7... I candled 3 eggs this morning. I can’t see anything in green/blue, or dark brown eggs. But I do see movement in a light colored egg. I’m new to chickens and egg hatching.
I’m having an issue keeping humidity 50-55%. Does more water = higher humidity? And dialing left increases humidity? It was awesome for a couple hours. Then I put the eggs in and couple hours later the humidity is 60%
