Oh, I have another one(Pekin) which is 2 weeks younger than him(I posted this a month ago). They get along well, so no problem with that. Thanks anyway.
Well, I never thought I'd become an animal lover before I got them. Seeing them to have grown up every day is fun by itself. And the way they preen themselves, stretch their legs, flap their wings, dive underwater(and splash water everywhere), even how they scratch their face with a weird...
They sometimes preen themselves or stretch their legs simultaneously. Feels like I'm watching synchronized swimming.
I always wonder who's copying whom.
Mash, 16% protein.
I always make it into mush with water and mix brewer's yeast powder when I feed them.
Sometimes they eat it like they are obsessed, but mostly they just eat the 'toppings' like mealworms or lettuce.
Maybe I should remove the toppings, to make them concentrate on chick feed...
I mean, they eat everything, EVERYTHING except chick feed.
(They eat it sometimes, but it's only 'sometimes'...)
I've tried putting some mealworms into their feeder, but it didn't work.
They only eat mealworms and peep like, "THERE'S NO FOOD!!"
and all I see is a mountain of chick feed left in...
When the big one is sitting on the floor, the small one tries to step on him. Then the big one peeps like, "Aaaahhh what is this?!". I don't know whether I should interfere or not.
I got another duckling yesterday. At first they pecked each other's eyes and back but now they get along fine, except when they are eating or drinking.
Brought him(I'll just call it 'him') to school today. He puked when I got off the bus. Carsick, maybe?
Right after that he started pecking everything on the green, then he pooped everywhere.
It's Sunday, so only a few people were at school. We had a great time together.
I live in a big city, so there are no feed stores nearby. Instead I use websites like eBay to get stuffs for my duckling.
I've found some Korean books about raising ducks, but they are for farmers who raise ducks in large flocks. Guess I need to get the book you recommended. Thanks.
