Claire is proudly wearing her POOPS shirt to work today! She works at a daycare and wishes it actually said poops on it. She thinks it's funny.

At POOPS we were so excited to get our new chickens that we ran off and left our chairs. If anyone was kind enough to load them up consider them yours. I just bought the green one on the way there. Glad to see a few familiar faces and meet some new ones. We had a great time.

I went out and put some in their water tonight. After looking up vent gleet, this could be a possibility. A different sex link (gold) has a small bit of white on her fluffy butt feathers. I just assumed it was pooped. Scout (my black sex link) doesn't have any kind of discharged but she also...

Question for you awesome, well knowledge chicken folks. I have a sex link that doesn't have many feathers around her vent and her chest. I do have other birds molting, and they are doing fine, some lost a TON of feathers, others barely noticeable. Most went through it fairly quickly, 3 weeks...

My buff brahma bantam hen is my prettiest chicken. If I could have another I'd definitely buy one from you but I'm already way above the city limit. They sure are pretty birds.

I know that Groggs carries organic chicken feed. They are located off HWY 169 and 61st. They are probably pricey, but it's a really nice place, they have great plants and herbs.

Unfortunately I still have my Black Copper Maran rooster. I really don't have any doubt that he's a roo because of his size, his wattles are huge, his comb is huge, his feet are gigantic and when he gets pecked at his voice is really deep and he sounds like a goose. The only time he makes that...

I feel your pain. I've been trying to rehome a Copper Maran for a month now at least. Every day I say please don't let this be the day he starts crowing!

I read elsewhere that the pullets never have copper anywhere other than their neck. If that's true, it's definitely a roo.

Could it possibly be a pullet? We really wanted a Copper Maran and I just assumed it was a boy due to it's big feet and wattles but looking at pictures the girls have big wattles. How old are they when their tail feathers get bigger?

This 11 1/2 week old guy is in need of a home. I'm in the city and I'm sure he will crow any day now. No charge.

I have an 11 1/2 week old cockerel that I am rehoming. We live in the city and cannot keep him. I honestly don't know what he is. He is very large for this age and has huge feet (maybe I'm just used to pullets). He is black with brown feathers around his neck and splashes of dark green...

Hi everyone. I haven't posted on here in a few months. We lost two birds this past month. Our two favorite girls of course. One being our splash silkie. It's been hard and a lot of tears have been shed. I'd like to replace her this spring. The other was our Fav, I don't think I'll get that...

My sex links just started laying and they are consistent, every day and my Barred Rock lays daily. I've also noticed that they are nicer now that they are laying. My Spangled Hamburg stopped laying completely as did my Sicilian Buttercup. I do have a light in the coop so they have a few more...
