86 and windy. Planted more tomatoes and dill seed. Lots of seeds sprouting. Balsam-touch me not - Impatiens Balsama are coming up. Loved them since I was a kind. -

93 new record, old record 90. Went fishing. Got a little red from the sun. -

waiting on the dew to dry before mowing. I have Titan sunflower seeds sprouting. A free gift. Need to plant them. Tree frogs singing at night. Chipmunks and squirrels feasting on maple seeds. -

Getting warm enough for sunfish to start spawning here. Weather permitting, I plan to go fishing tomorrow. Love fishing the spawn.- jerryse

What did you do in the garden today?
Thunderstorm gave us .2 inches of rain last night. One variety of squash sprouted in 5 days. Others will come soon. Still setting some to sprout today. Works better than direct sowing for me. Too many things happen to the direct sown seeds. -

I went to water my new trees and something tried digging them up.:he It has to go. Raccoon most likely. It has happened before. Nothing of interest just disturbed dirt. -

Planted the new trees yesterday. Checked the bird nest above the door. One chick getting feathers and 3 dud eggs. Wrens building a nest in the birdhouse. I see 2 rabbits around sometimes. A love hate relationship. I love seeing them and hate them in the garden. -

84 now. I took a drive and bought 2 trees. Private grower. He had 35 named cultivars of persimmons. All parthenocarpic. Other trees also. Small trees. -

My columbine pollination and a pic of the bed. Hoping for a fuschia color. My domestic columbine is in another area. -

I think the buds are swelling on these sweet cherry grafts. Hopeful. Plum graft is growing. -

40 early headed to 72. I am going to start planting squash today. I am thinking of a road trip tomorrow to buy grafted trees. About 1 hour 40 minute drive. I know you will understand the addiction to plants. Going to try pollination a Columbine cross. Native x domestic. I had one once that the...
