I have been bard rock free range and I leave the coop open so they can return when they want. I noticed a stray cat hanging around lately however it hasnt been messing with the chickens. But I just discovered why he hangs out here, he has been sneaking in the coop for the chicken feed.
I have been taking them outside on a supervised outings on the lawn, they love to pick the mosquitos off at ankle level of anybody that dares to wear shorts here. They seem to enjoy the chance to stretch their legs and wings while exploring the property.
