I've noticed recently that my peacock sounded funny when he hollered, like he had a bad cough...the past couple of nights, I've noticed he's rattling (like in his chest) while breathing...thoughts, suggestions?
I had tons of eggs last year, most fertile, but peahens would not set for all the wishing & hoping in the world! Not much luck in the incubator, but that was probably my fault, I can't seem to leave the door closed!
Something I do with the styrofoam incubators...to keep from having to open &...
I'm getting 2-4 eggs a day! I hate to admit it, but I've almost got too many eggs! I got to see 3 of them lay their eggs last night! Would love to have some green ones to go with my flock!

I beg to differ on this...I got a peacock & 3 peahens last summer, about July or so, he lost his train before I even got him home (I guess from all the excitement of moving). The hens started laying in August & the eggs were fertile!
It's happening right after she lays it...don't know if it's her or one of the drakes that hangs with her or the other hen. I beat them all to the punch this morning & was at the pond come daylight, got it before a hole appeared!
Will try to take a pic next time it happens.
