I have 10 rhode island red hens who were hatched the last week of February 2023. I have one silkie rooster who is approximately a year or year and a half old. My hens started laying about a month ago and now on a daily basis i am getting 8-9 eggs.
They all live in a large enclosed run that is appx 10ftx30ft with a nice coop. They do occasionally get to free range while supervised for a few hours.
