Mind sharing your beef stock recipe? I haven't gotten as much flavor as I'd like...
Thanks!!
How the heck do you delete a post? I was trying to quote WYnot but I messed up
Hi All, I haven't posted in this thread in a long time, but I love reading it! I'm finally ready to graduate from water bath to pressure canning, woohoo! I'm looking at the All American canners - you all have convinced me they are worth it
For size - The 21 quart - holds 19 pints and 7 quarts...
If you don't want to clip a wing, then I can't think of any other option other than to put up a higher internal fence. Did you give her time to adjust to your other birds before putting her in with them? For example putting her in a dog crate inside their run where they can see eachother but...
Yep. I think it happened because I needed to change the bedding and the feed store was out of pine shavings. So I got straw that day. Then later on I added pine shavings to it. The straw fills the coop up nicely and seems to stay thicker and the shavings mix in to absorb odors.
Hi guys, my 2 year old silver laced wyandotte, Lacy, died sometime during the night. She seemed completely healthy...eating, laying and acting normal. I couldn't find any wounds on her...it must have been some kind of internal issue. The other chickens look fine today. Would you be concerned...
I've been doing chicken broth in a similar way to this...and I don't add herbs until I use the broth. That is mainly because I change up the herbs depending on what I'm cooking. Plus, you will be AMAZED at how much flavor this has! I would try it without herbs first and see what you think
Maybe I should try a different brine. They just tasted like vinegar to me. Does anyone have a brine I could try? The one I did was just from a google search.
Would you mind sharing a recipe? I tried making some for the first time, and the texture and flavor was no good. Or maybe that's just the way they taste and aren't for me. The whites were rubbery, the yolks were chalky and they just tasted of vinegar.
I work at a stadium and occasionally get large bags of popcorn for free. But it is the buttered/salted kind. If I only give it to the girls once in a while, is the salt okay?
Thanks everyone! I appreciate the feedback. Maybe a lucky girl will get an american for christmas
Except I already asked for a tv for the bedroom. Haha!
