One of my chickens has a white hard bump on her head right above her beak and below comb. I have treated it like an open wound cleaned it and put antibiotic ointment, however it does not change. Appears to be hard, just wondering what it could be otherwise chickens have no other symptoms.
Do the light method it works like a charm for me. put a light inside the coop and turn it on when its dark or around the time they need to go in and they will be attracted to the light! just check to make sure everyone gets in and they learn the behavior then go in on their own after a couple of...
Hello,
I've had an issue with storing my chicken feed. I keep them in big tin trash cans outside so no critters can get in. However over the past few months if I do not use the feed it gets moldy within couple weeks? seems a little water gets in. How do you store chicken feed?
Thanks
Jessica

I have a run attached and a automatic chicken door installed to the coop. So I might just keep them out there in the coop at first and then open the door up showing them they need to return to the coop! thanks so much for the response!
Hello,
I am wondering how people moved their chickens to the coop from the brooder. My chicks are almost feathered in and are almost ready to go outside. How did the chickens adjust to the coop and did they know to go in the coop when it was dark.
Thanks!
