    Any ideas??

Does anyone have any idea what breed this little thing is? I got "her" from the local feed store and all they could me was its a bantam, which is obvious, I've had her for 5 days and she is TINY. Other than that I have no idea what breed she is. Any ideas???

Moving to the big girl coop

I have 10 chicks that are 6 weeks old now. They've been outside with their brinsea eco glow for a week now. I am wondering if it's safe to put them in the big coop now (with no heating element) full time. I'm in Northern California and the weather has been pretty stable the last couple weeks, a...

    Polish what??

Any guess on what variety these polish chicks are? At 2 days the two lighter ones were almost all yellow and the black one was more of a mix of black and yellow. Now I have no clue what they are!!!

    Amerucaunas? Second opinion wanted :)

The first one looks either like an Easter Egger or ameraucana. The second one looks like a buff Orpington and the last one looks like a barred rock. I had each of those breeds in my last order and they looked almost identical to yours.

    How much space?

I have a run area that is about 125 sq feet fenced off and a coop that is 40 sq feet and 8 feet high. How many full size chickens would be able to live comfortably in that area? I currently have 1 adult Easter Egger living there now (quite lavishly!!) and I have 10 chicks in the brooder now. I...

    New coop, old habits

I just got a new and very improved coop for my one chicken (long story but I'll be getting more in the next couple weeks) anyways, I still have my old coop in the run area and my Easter Egger, Coco, refuses to lay eggs in the new coop. She stands at the door every morning begging to get out so I...
