    Chicken stopped laying

She was laying through the shortest days of winter and then suddenly stopped once the days got longer and warmer. I switched feed 4 days ago and she’s laid her first egg today!

    Chicken stopped laying

Interestingly enough I heard about this and switched feed. After about 4 days she started laying again after no eggs for three weeks!

    Chicken stopped laying

She’s not even a year old yet. We’ve had very cold temps here in utah and she’s laid perfectly through it all. We did have a colder spell (like we’ve had before) and that’s about when she stopped. It’s warmed up since but still no eggs from her.

    Chicken stopped laying

Yes it’s cold but it’s been very cold since November with no issues until now. She is on a layer feed from tractor supply. Haven’t switched that at all. She was getting work treats and switched it up to a scratch that had worms in it when the stopped producing. Switched back to the worms and...

    Chicken stopped laying

My best layer suddenly stopped laying about a week ago. I’ve been keeping a close eye on her and she seems healthy. Haven’t noticed any molting or even mites. I did switch up their snacks a few days before this and once I noticed she stopped laying I switched right back. It’s been 4 days back on...

    Black Spots on Hens comb

She is the bottom of the pecking order so that would make sense. Poor chickens. They are ruthless with the picking on others.

    Black Spots on Hens comb

Just noticed these black spots on my hen’s comb. It’s cold where I live but hasn’t been below 10 degrees and is usually in the lows about 25 degrees, highs in the 40-50. She seems to be acting fine other then I’m worried she’s discovered to eat her own eggs. (Found a broken egg with the shell...

Oh thank you! I was worried about the buff rock being a rooster and it’s my daughters favorite!

Help sexing my flock of 6-7 week olds

1&5 are both about a week to 2 weeks older than the other 3 if that makes a difference.

Help sexing my flock of 6-7 week olds

Good ol tractor supply haha I figured it wasn’t because it’s blonde and not white. Thank you! That one is the one I’m worried about being a rooster because of its tail feathers.

Help sexing my flock of 6-7 week olds

Brand new to this chicken farm thing and have some 6-7 week old chicks. Hoping they are all pellets but could use some help! I’ve labeled and numbered each chicken. If you need more photos I can try and get more!!
