Feathers changed at 3 years old

Hello! I have a white Cochin who has always had smooth feathers. After this years molt her feathers look fluffy, kind of like a frizzle appearance. Any ideas on what would cause this?

9 week old EE pullet or cockerel?

Actually she was pretty quiet! I wasn't even sure if she laid when she left the coop. My cochin who also just started to lay is extremely loud with her egg song.

Looks like a pullet who might be laying soon. I don't see any obvious male traits that you would expect at that age

    Help!! Ventilation problem?

No, it didn't save should be updated now. and I'll extend the fascia this weekend. As for the door, we do close it at night. does that mean the ventilation isn't good at night? should i add one more vent? the easier place for me to put the vent would be on the large human door because that's the...

    Help!! Ventilation problem?

it has a door, but we did it internally with a pully system. it just makes it easier to lock them in at night and let them out in the morning.

    Help!! Ventilation problem?

That is a really good idea! we do have an issue with straw spilling out. We put a waterproof mat on the bottom of the coop so that the straw isn't directly on the wood.

    Help!! Ventilation problem?

I keep reading how they are cold tolerant, but when I go into the coop with them they seem like they want to surround me and cuddle/snuggle down into my coat and I kind of just figured they were getting too cold. Very paranoid chicken mom. lol

    Help!! Ventilation problem?

We just got done building a coop for our 8 Chickens. We did the roof kind of elevated so they would have ventilation without a draft. We noticed the straw is damp in the coop though. is it due to lack of ventilation? what else should we improve? (nest box isn't being used because they are too...
