I think this one is the rooster the white and brown has what looks like saddle feathers around neck and looks just like a rooster we used to have. How old is that one
We are getting about 6-7 eggs a day from 10 laying age hens 🎉 two were broody three weeks ago so maybe will get some eggs from them again soon but one is moulting a lot but I think the garlic and ACV water alternating helped.
So update we put double the amount of fake eggs into nests and moved the broodie one and also moved the coops back to where it was 6 weeks ago and garlic in their water alt with ACV and we got 1 egg yesterday and 2 today so getting back on track. Also first egg from one of the younger chickens...
Thankyou for suggestions I will hide an egg and see if it disappears but I haven’t heard their laying song for weeks now either and they always used to do that song.
Because they are free range in high chicken wire but usually I let them out and have the whole backyard but I’ve kept them within the area and unless they have laid and other chickens have eaten their eggs but there would be evidence of that no?
I have 8 Australorps 4 are 40 weeks old and they were laying fine and regular but for the last two weeks they haven’t laid. One of them was broody but I separated her for a few days but still not eggs from any of them.
I have four about 26 weeks old and out of those ONE had started to lay about...
