    Would a chicken live alone?

    Hiya, sadly we had a visit from Mr Fox, and I lost my 3 new hens.....to say I am gutted is an understatement!!!! Some how my long standing resident hen "Betty" was left untouched , a miracle! But is now alone....... I'm concerned now that she'll be lonely as she was the leader of the pack...

    Pale combs?

    What do I feed my hen that is going through her first molt? ( she doesn't seem interested in her normal feed ) and is now sitting around looking sorry for herself..is this normal?
