    Nesting boxes

do you have the boxes at least 18" of the floor? you may want to see if you can locate some nesting boxes from an old chicken farm. that has worked really well for me.

I fail! why dont they give me eggs?

good afternoon.....a couple of questions: 1) are you feeding them laying pellets? 2) do you give them extra light, i have lights on a timer, right now i have the lights come on about 4am and turn off at 6:30, chickens need 14 to 16 hours of light 3) how has the temperature been where you live...

21 weeks and still waiting... (Photo)

hang in there, you will get an egg any day now. one question, are you feeding them laying pellets? try putting a couple of golf balls in the nesting boxes. also look around your coop, some of mine didn't lay in the boxes at first. i got my first egg at about 22 weeks, once they start look out!!

    12 Week Old Chicks-Feeding Question

this weekend i put my 6-12 week old chicks with the rest of my hens. i have two separate feeders in the coup, one with starter feed and one with laying pellets. my 1-yr old hens are eating the starter. do my chicks need the starter food or can they start eating the laying pellets?

    lost 2 chickens

sorry to report, i lost 2 of my girls the other day, i think it was due to the excessive heat we had (heat index was 118 degrees). i have a friend that lost 1 the same day. just wondering if anyone else had any problems due to heat.
