Well, many changes for us, been ages since I checked in from Kansas City! We bought 31 acres about 100 miles North, and about 18 months ago were up to about 4 roosters and 45 hens. So, no chicken tractor for 3 years now…
But, they slowed down a lot on laying since we bought them at 1 year old...
Glad I could help. About a 75 minute drive for us, and something else might keep us busy that weekend, but have fun! Never been but hope to go one day :)
Thanks for the welcomes! Glad I finally got the train moving, even if only a couple psi in the boiler so far. So many things I'd like to learn to do along with my kiddos. I mean I like to have fun, but in the long haul in my mind it's really about what sort of legacy I can leave for them...

Rising too quick for me... and other projects have come to the forefront (like I gotta get my grow room cranking out microgreens first, to start some cash flow from my first commercial customer/restaurant! :)
While excited about chickens, going to try and take my time and plan out a coop, run...
As a newbie here, I just found this thread and I want to do something similar... 10x12 shed and I want to basically split it down the middle with a wall and a door, plan to cut some vents in the triangles under the roof on each end. (Only have the one shed in our 1/6 acre backyard and still need...
Well, I was just rather surprised that she was the one who expressed any concern (maybe has never been around chickens in her life... dunno, she just retired, but might have always lived in a city...), and the other neighbor lady who is 75 or so and the neighborhood Nosy Nancy who observes...
