I have 14 easter egger hens (28 weeks old/no rooster) and one consistently has pecking sores on her butt (vent height but more to each side where the tips of her wings lay - but now its getting dangerously close to her vent) my birds free range minimum 2-3...

    Hi Shelley If you see this... I'm sorry about your bird, seems like the same thing happened to me today. Was curious if you had any issues with your other birds following this. Praying its just a one off and my other girls stay fine. thank you!

    We dont have that safeguard here.. I have liquid horse ivermectin? is the only other thing here - I'll call the closest feed supply to see if they do ... the vet in town doesnt have any dewormer... I'm waiting for a reply from another vet in next city. No panting, its cool temps here (14 C)...

    Hello, This morning my chicken (5mos) was laying alone in coop eyes closed gasping for air/slow deep breaths, she wont drink or eat, no sneezing or runny nose or any other sypmtoms? all other 14 birds seem fine ... i thought i noticed her do this the other day but she was acting normal...
