Missing feathers and scabs
Rooster with no tail feathers when we got him in less than perfect health. Doing very well now however hens are pecking area. I have separated but unsure how to treat. His vent is clean,blood feathers are coming in but area is really red and some scaly areas on skin. I did not find mites. Any...- jklinger2

Oh. I will look for link and ask for help if I can't locate it. She didn't really stay to receive him so I doubt they truly mated. It was funny to me because he is the most social, approaches us talking and allows touching. Gently nibbles. Thanks again for all your help. Not to many people... -

@MissLydia that will be exciting. I know for sure the African is a male. We bought additional pools and the African attempted mating and I'm pretty sure I saw his family male parts. I hope that means the white is a female. So far the male ia not Aggressive And I found out they are 6 months old. -

Ok thanks for warning. I need to research. We are setting up a duck house for them this weekend and will see if we get any eggs. I'll just have to watch closely because I have no idea how old they are. -

Thank you, any guesses on sex? The ducks have little curls at too of tail feathers and a raspy quack. The geese don't rally have any prominent feature that I can tell. I don't really care to vent sex at this time. Was just curious if I might be having eggs at some point. -

Hi, new first time duck and goose owner. Purchased from someone who thought ducks were all male, unsure of breed and no idea on geese. After looking at breed pictures I can't identify breed of duck, maybe a mix. The geese I think maybe a Chinese and the white maybe Ehmden? Anyone have a guess as...
