    What's with the squatting?

    Our hens have finally started laying consistently, thank the gods! Ive noticed now that when I go into the run the hens closest to me will squat down. What's this about?

    New to the chicken world

    Hello, I'm Mark. I live in Saint Louis, MO. We have 6 hens, 3 Red Star and 3 Leghorn. They have just started laying so it's very sporadic right now. Looking forward to a steady flow of fresh eggs.

    Nesting box behavior

    My chickens keep kicking the straw out of the nesting boxes. How can I stop this? It's really annoying, lol.
