I bought eggs from a farm and they were just free range with a rooster in the mix. So I have no idea. I just know I'm gonna have to get rid of roosters but I'm worried the lack of feathers means they are males
So I know feather sexing isn't reliable all breeds.
I have four hybrids and one has hardly any wings feathers and one has big big wing feathers.
Is there anyway for me to tell which is male or female or do I need to wait?
Why is one growing faster than the other three.
I am candling brown eggs on day 7 and I can barely see anything at all.
I think I can see veins and there is 100% air sac development but it's a very dark yolk. I can see maybe some dark spots where development would be but why are the yolks so dark at this stage?

So there is hope for him if I keep him warm and give him sugary water? He is slightly more active but still not standing or lifting his head unless I annoy him

Yolk has detached partially absorbed, seems a little more lively, left in bator with some heat and he's had some sugar water , eyes are open and he's moving more but still weak. Hopefully he's just readying himself to get active
So three eggs have hatched, two perfectly normally and now in their brooder. One who was a day late has hatched but still has his yolk attached to him!
He is limp and sometimes vocal and has taken some sugar and water but it's been about 12 hours now
What do I do? Is it too late for this...
He's been like this for a while now but will kick and scream when he's moved. I had to move the others away as I think it's their fault the yolk come out with the duck
