Greetings and please help. Two days ago I noticed my 2 year old Australorp "Henny" was not well. She was straining repeatedly. She was straining to the point that there was some prolapse and I could see a yellow round object. On the first evening I gave her 20 minute warm soak and then applied...
Well done! It's a fine example of something easy to say ..."I'll build a chicken coop out of pallets", but it obviously took lots of hard work and planning. Such lovely surroundings too! You have lucky ladies and a lucky fella.
Merry Christmas to you all! I am so thankful for the technology we have that allows us to connect from around the globe. In the coming year may the great majority of your hatchlings be female, your roosters be virile, and your predators find somewhere else to eat!

So sorry for your loss! These feathered creatures worm their way deep into our hearts. I dare say six years old is oodles of human years. I'm sure she had a wonderful life being cared for by people like you and your husband.
When I've log on to Backyard and seen the number of unread posts on your thread lately my first thought has been...oh no..something has gone wrong with Oz...then I'm relieved to find that it's just you stuttering again.
Hope today there was someone out your way singing the old nursery rhyme...
