    I got 6 hens and the 50# of feed last a month. It varies on eggs per day, winter months 2 a day and summer 6 per day. So it evens out.

    50# feed is about $13 and I sell about 6 dozen eggs for $2 a dozen to my friends at work. So I'm breaking even. I'm just happy our chicks are almost paying for themselves. Plus I get good, fresh, healthy, eggs.

    No, when I researched it that's all it said. The laying pellets and veggie scraps from the garden is enough nutrition most of the time. They also like bird seed. But I heard at BYC not to give it to often.
