    Having the same problem but its only with one of six hens, I have been told there is a device that can be put on the hens back that will allow her to heal but have on idea where to get one. Anyone know where to get one. Thanks

    Thanks for the tips. I would put straw in or pine shavings in the nest boxes and the hens would kick it out so today I added a 2 inch lip across the front now its harder for them to kick it out, we will see if it works.

    We are almost neighbors our home is in Vass, anyway one of our 6 hens has just started eating eggs, today was the first time a whole egg was eaten. The last week or so we have collected eggs with small cracks I didn't know what it meant now I do. Thanks for the post.
