    Hi and welcome! My wife and I live in WA state too, Kitsap County. We are new to raising chickens, got our first chicks 4 weeks ago, 10 Golden Stars.

    Our chicks are in a brood box with a heat lamp in a spare room right now. We want to move the box and chicks to our back deck, they won't be going into their coop for quite a while.

    Hi all, my wife and I are just getting started raising chickens, we have 10 Gold Stars that are just over 3 weeks old. We are in Kitsap County, WA, wondering when to put them outside. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    New to BYC

    Hi all from Washington State! My wife and I are in the process of building a coop and should be getting our chicks (5 Black Star, 5 Red Star) any day now. We both enjoy the BYC site and have been reading a lot of info as this will be our first time raising chickens.
