I've been noticing lately that some of my chickens, including roos, have had diarrhea. You can actually see it on the feathers around the vent. It's dark colored and very watery. I haven't seen any blood in it yet, but one of the roos does look like he has had some bleeding around the vent...

I typically don't say "bloody" but, I agree.... Not bloody likely... If we've all learned one thing from the internet, it's don't believe everything you see....
What I really have a hard time believing are the size of those cowboy boots.... Makes me think the girl has big feet....
Amber I feel for ya....
Regardless of how you feel, you should try to get out and do something. Take a walk or whatever. Get your blood pumping and you'll feel better after a while. I know it's going badly for you right now, but try not to let it get you down. I'm having a rough spot here...
Well you could pick up the cat and give it some milk and make it promise not to harm or chicks anymore and perhaps stroke it and put each chick into its mouth so that it will know which ones it shouldn't harm, oooooorrrrrrrr......
You can get a baseball bat, toss it up in the air, and send mr...
Yeah it is pretty sad, but I guess she's just learning. I gave her some more eggs to sit on and she went right back to getting up off of them and trying to sit on a different nest with less eggs in it.... Crazy broody....
Well I went out to the coop today and guess what I found.... The little roo didn't make it. He was in the corner of the nest, cold and stiff as a board. Well Houdini didn't survive his last death trap either.....
Birds, Particularly Owls. We have a Barred Owl that lives near us. I hear him calling day and night and scaring the chickens. Sometimes I hoot back at him... Or her.... Either way, we carry on a conversation and I have no idea what we're saying....
.... and now that they're hatching, there are only two left.
So I had a hen go broody a while back (at least 3 weeks ago) and it's her first time. Well, either she isn't a good mother yet or she really has no idea how to stop breaking eggs.... Yes, the nests are lined and padded. So she starts...
Just to break up the monotony of Jane Austen and whatever else everyone was yappin about, my favorite fictional characters are Hannibal Lecter and BATMAN!
Hannibal, cuz he and I have the same personality type as does Clarice Starling. BTW I like Jodie Foster better as Clarice.
Batman well...
Brownish-gray Fishing Spider. 1/4" to 1" long. Body and legs brownish gray, marked extensively with blackish brown.
How close to water do you live? The distance you live from water depends on if that is a Fishing Spider or not, but the pic you have looks very much like one.
Just in case you wanna know, most of these stock photo websites that I've seen base what they want on trends. Sadly enough, I don't think there are many that will want the photos that I have. Go figure...
