I looked into some possibilities. While it cannot be cured, draining the pouch with a large gauge syringe can be done to relieve the pressure. Periodically draining will still be required but it could at least ease her discomfort. I’m going to give that a try next week.
My guess is that she is maybe 7 pounds give or take. Definitely heavier than some of my other hens (Plymouth Rocks and an Easter Egger), given her size. He poop looks normal and her vent doesn't appear swollen or red. He abdomen is soft. It feels bloated.
