    Thanks for the info! I'll try and make it to those. August 8th is my birthday so maybe I could get a present for myself;). Is it like a dog show where the judges handle to birds individually and give them the award or do they just look into the cages and apply a ribbon?

    I didn't realize that chickens were actually sold at the fairs. I just thought it would be like a dog show with judging etc...

    The Alameda County Fair is coming up toward the end of the month. I wonder if they'd have many types to see there. I'll have to check it out.
