Rooster of 5 months suddenly lame

One morning I saw that my rooster was holding his foot up and when he walked he just used the top of his foot to walk on. He was still eating, drinking and normally interacting. I searched online and found on a Dutch chicken webpage that it could be a sign of Marek. I was devastated as I...

How to treat wetpox with no vet around

How to treat wetpox with no vet around

Thanks Amy Jane, I have her seperated. And I'm trying to feed her as the lesions make it difficult for her to swallow. Will the lesions go? I read at a Dutch post that the owner was scratching the yellow parts away and that is was very smelly. Did anyone try this?

How to treat wetpox with no vet around

One of my chicken has wetpox. I handd feed her now but she has the yellow cheeselike stuff in her mouth and throat. I live in an area where are no specialised vets so is there a way to take the yellow stuff out of her mouth and throat? Does antibiotic (whick kind) help?
