Can you help with breed and gender?

Thank you! We probably have room for a couple more hens, but I don't know if I'm ready to start introducing new birds to this flock yet. I'm still learning, and not sure how to do that with confidence yet.

Thank you for this!! We were mainly worried about vacations, and letting a broody hen get attached to the eggs if we’re gone, but we may just have to deal with it and find someone to grab eggs while we’re away.

Oh, really? That’s great! We were worried about the times we go on vacation and won’t be there to get the eggs every day, and we don’t really have someone who could collect them for us yet! Do you know what a good ratio would be? We’d have 4 hens and 2 roosters with our current flock.

This was my feeling too! And yes, I do think I’ve got a couple of boys in this group.

Yes, I guess I mean if possible we’d like to keep them but do not want fertilized eggs. We don’t have room for more babies.

I bought 2 olive eggers and 2 black copper marans from a local farm (plus 2 ameraucanas from our farm store). The farmer put 4 black, nearly identical chicks in the box and I don’t know which is...
