    What are the breeds of these chickens?

    Both hens resemble some of my girls that are black copper marans. Mine lay dark chocolate or green eggs. I have other breeds that lay light brown and pink eggs too.

    I have adopted a Hen with 3 babies. This mama is now raising a baby hatched at my home that my broodie hen rejected. Anyone know what the breed is? The last owners were given this chicken so they don’t know what breed she is either.

    Trying to get some Mystic Onyx chicks

    I believe 2 of the chicks I got from my TSC (Jackson TN) are Mystic Onyx. They are solid black with black legs and both have 5 toes on each foot. They are about 6wks old today.

    Thanks for the suggestions. The coop does have vents across the back of the coop. So you think the front needs it too? If so, I can get this at my local LOWES and do this project this weekend. I’ll have to figure out how to do the side windows.
